How much data can be stored on CD's and DVD's?

The data capacity for CD's is generally 700 Megabytes (MB) and for DVD's is 4.7 Gigabytes (GB).

If I supply the artwork for my CD/DVD label, in what file format should I submit the artwork?

EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) format is preferred; however, we do accept the following file formats:
•EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) - (Preferred)     •AI (Adobe Illustrator)     •GIF (graphics interchange format)

In what format do I supply the master CD/DVD media?

We must receive a readable and ready to duplicate CD or DVD master.

How do I get my original media and artwork to Excel Duplication Services?

It's easy! You can either send it through the mail, use a carrier of your choice or have it picked up by UPS for a minimal fee.

What are my options for packaging?

Jewel cases (standard and slimline), Poly Clamshells (ideal for shipping), Poly clamshell Square Case, Amaray Case (CD/DVD cases), and white paper sleeve with window options.

What is the turn-around time?

Production schedules depend upon the quantity ordered and the packaging options selected. A typical order is ready in 2-8 business days.

What if I need my order faster?

Are labels included?

Yes, a standard label with black ink is included in the price; however, the price may vary for a 1-color order other than black, for labels with more than 1-color, or for larger disk orders.

How much footage can you put on a single DVD or VHS tape?

8 hours will fit on either a single DVD or VHS tape. However, for the best quality, Excel Duplication Services recommends using only a maximum of 2 hours per single media.

Can you copy, transfer, duplicate, or edit copyrighted material?

If you furnish written release from the copyright holder, we can provide this service for you.

Can you also transfer my video tapes to DVD's?

Yes. Video transfer prices are $25 per tape.

What format is acceptable for my original master tape?

VHS, Compact VHS, Hi-8, and Mini DV.

How can I get my original material copyrighted?

Visit the US Copyright Office on line.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept checks, cash, certified check, or money order.
